The Undergraduate Research Office is a comprehensive location to introduce students to the world of research.  Need help getting started?  Attend a monthly Information Session.  Dessert provided.  RSVP preferred to uro at osu.edu (Please write the date and "Information Session" in the subject line.)
 

A Mershon Center Faculty Panel, January 23
Recipe for Success: Basic Ingredients for Undergraduate Research
12:30 - 1:30 p.m., 100 Page Hall
Join Richard Hermann, Director of the Mershon Center for International Security Studies, and two of his colleagues for an interdisciplinary panel discussion on the basic ingredients of a good undergraduate research project.  The focus of the panel discussion will be on understanding what makes research at the Mershon Center unique, and how undergraduate students can prepare for and get involved in research at the Mershon Center. Research with Human Subjects (this is a repeat program), February 7
IRB Training for Undergraduate Students
5-6 p.m., 10 Page Hall
Eat pizza while you learn about who needs to and how to apply for Institutional Review Board (IRB) approval.  If there is a chance that you may involve people or their data in your research (such as interviews, questionnaires, etc.) then this program is for you!
