**Job Description:*
The primary role of this position is to implement and support business
systems solutions that meet or exceed customers' and internal business
partners' business requirements for all sectors within the respective Exel
Division. This role exists to support and ensure a quality delivery of a
predefined IT solution(s) as selected to support a business need. This is
achieved through the delivery of a predefined IT solution that can be
effectively utilized in a productive manner, immediately upon delivery, to
support the business need. The IT solution delivery includes effective
system setup, training, implementation and post implementation support of
the predefined IT solution(s) such as a Warehouse Management System into a
new or existing client site(s). The role extends to the understanding of
current and the development and publishing of work processes, active
participation in User Acceptance testing and facilitation in the development
of standard operating procedures (SOP's) between Exel and the client. This
role is responsible for analyzing customer and business partner requirements
in order to understand and apply systems implementation concepts and
principles to effectively implement and support business systems solutions.
Applies IT and internal team methodologies and procedures to ensure
implementations are delivered in a consistent, standard and repeatable
method. Participates in the development of implementation and support cost
estimates. Prepares and delivers status reports to team leader, senior
management and other project leaders.
*Qualifications:*
Pursuits - Effective ability to develop estimates in support of IT's
response to customer RFP / RFI / RFQ for meaningful business opportunities;
effective ability to recommend basic configuration strategies for a
predefined IT solution(s) that meet or exceed the requirements of our
customers and business partners.. Project Planning and Administrative - .
Entry level ability to contribute to the development of a portion of the
project work plan - specifically in the estimating of implementation tasks (
e.g. - system set-up, user testing, training); entry level use of specific
Exel project administration processes including tracking analytical labor
against the project plan;.. Project Delivery - Entry level ability to
facilitate / support the business acceptance testing process with customers
and IT Analysts & Project Leaders for custom and package application
projects; apply entry level industry specific knowledge (e.g. -
transportation management, warehouse management);. General - Requires
moderate supervision from a more senior, business system analyst or business
systems project manager; accepts some responsibility for portions of a
project's success; moderate level knowledge of EXEL's business applications
(capabilities and limitations) and business processes. This includes both
third party and in-house developed applications
