Hi all,
First, thanks to those of you who made it to the meeting last week. Here is
a list of the events currently planned for this year. Please RSVP for the
haunted house trip by Thursday so we can arrange rides. If you can drive,
please mention how many people you can take.

*Haunted house at the House of Nightmares* - Sunday 10/28 @ 9 p.m.
Our fun event for the quarter, ACM-W will be enjoying a night of fright at
the House of Nightmares in the Brewery District. Please RSVP to
wang.911 at osu.edu if you are planning to join us.

*Nationwide speaker or similar event* - Fall or Winter quarter
As one of our sponsors, Nationwide would like to come talk about their
company and job opportunities. Details TBD.

*Laser tag* - Winter quarter
Social event for winter quarter. We will be announcing more details and the
date when it gets closer.

*Ultimate Gamer Tournament* - Spring quarter
We are planning to make this tournament a yearly event. Participants will
be expected to be able to play several popular games on various game consols
(including some blasts from the past). The overall winner will receive an
$100 gift card to GameStop or similar prize. We plan to have prizes for
other participants as well. In order to win the gift card, you must have
attended at least one other ACM-W event during the year. If you have not
attended any events, you are still welcome to come and play the games but
are not eligible to win a prize.

Again, all events are free unless otherwise specified. Most events require
an RSVP simply because we need to know how much food to get or how to
arrange rides. We are also hoping to have speakers from Microsoft and
Google some time during the year.

Thanks,

Linda Wang
ACM-W, president
