Hi Bettina--

Next week (Mon & Tue, Aug 11 & 12) I'm hosting two groups of
middle school girls.  I'm going to present the Scratch workshop
that Stacey Laugel and I developed last year.  The girls work in
pairs to write Scratch (http://scratch.mit.edu) programs to
solve particular problems.  A description of the workshop is
here: http://www.cse.ohio-state.edu/~paolo/outreach.

I'm looking for a couple of volunteers to help.  Could you
distribute this request to an appropriate group?  There are
two sessions, both in Dreese 280 (and 263):
 Mon Aug 11, 9:30 - 12:00
 Tue Aug 12, 1:15 - 4:30
Responsibilities are pretty light.  Just walking around as
the girls are working on the lab assignments and answer questions,
chat about CS, etc.  No Scratch experience necessary (it is a
simple visual language with instructions consisting of blocks
that stack together to form programs).
