Talk to your teacher or advisor about the Grace Hopper Celebration of
Women in Computing.
The GHC is a conference designed to bring the research and career
interests of women in computing to the forefront. Presenters are
leaders in their respective fields, representing industrial, academic
and government communities. Leading researchers present their current
work, while special sessions focus on the role of women in today's
technology fields, including computer science, information technology,
research and engineering.
If you are a graduate student, consider submitting a technical paper.
If you are an undergrad, consider submitting a poster.

There will be scholarships to attend this conference, too. The
application process starts March 19th. See

I hope to see you there!

Grace Hopper Celebration Call For Participation Deadline March 16, 2009
The Grace Hopper Celebration will take place from September 30-October
3, 2009 in Tucson Arizona. This year's theme "Creating Technology for
Social Good" recognizes the significant role women play in defining
technology used to solve social issues. The submission deadline is
March 16, 2009 at
http://www.gracehopper.org/2009/participate/call-for-participation/.
This deadline will not be extended.
Recommendations to anyone who wants to participate:
Your subject should not be something specific to your organization.
If you have a panel - it needs to span across organizations - not 5
people from the same company discussing an issue in their company.
Combining academics and industry or interdisciplinary discussions are
super.
We are encouraging submissions that promote diversity and
International participation.
A submission in line with the theme of the conference "Creating
Technology for Social Good" would be ideal.
Submissions requested for:
Birds of a Feather (BOFs)
New Investigators Technical Papers
Panels, Workshops and Presentations
PhD Forum
Technical Posters
