Will take a lead role in designing, implementing, and supporting services.</font> <br>
<p><font size="2" face="Times New Roman">Responsibilities include:</font></p><ul type="DISC"><li><font size="2" face="Times New Roman">Work in teams with TELR designers, consultants, and developers to provide effective, supportable eLearning applications and services to instructors and students.</font></li>
<li><font size="2" face="Times New Roman">Administer existing TELR virtual and physical servers. Apply patches and upgrades. Respond to service requests in a timely manner. Automate routine tasks.</font></li><li><font size="2" face="Times New Roman">In cooperation with TELR and OIT personnel, improve the usability, maintainability, and security of services hosted by TELR servers.</font></li>
<li><font size="2" face="Times New Roman">Provide technical consulting and support to TELR members.</font></li><li><font size="2" face="Times New Roman">Support eLearning application administration</font></li><li><font size="2" face="Times New Roman">Work with partners to troubleshoot and resolve software and hardware problems.</font></li>
<li><font size="2" face="Times New Roman">Participate in off-hour monitoring of services. May occasionally come to campus in the off-hours to participate in upgrades and resolve problems as needed.</font></li></ul></td></tr>

Solid understanding of networking concepts (firewalls, load balancers, TCP/IP subnetting, etc.). Command of SQL and at least one major scripting or programming language (Perl, PHP, Python, VBScript, C#, etc.). Ability to communicate effectively in distributed work environment and in cross-matrixed teams.</font><p>
